# Editing Folder Settings & User Access Permissions

Folders are available on the platform’s Screens, Docs, and Data Sources areas. Editing a Folder’s settings is the same for all.

When viewing folders and you hover over a folder’s name, clicking the gear **icon** that appears to the right of the folder’s name will open that respective folder’s **Folder Settings**.

-   Cog (appears on the right of the folder when hovered over)
-   Lock (Indicating ‘Restrict User Access’ applied)

After opening **Folder Settings**, you’ll be able to configure the following:

-   Name
-   External ID
-   Restrict User Access\*
-   Restrict To Group
-   Restrict To Users (Note, this list displays Active and Invited users)

| Once stricter access rules have been applied, any content that needs to be accessible/visible in-app needs to be in a folder unless the content is in Test Mode. |

Once you’ve made changes, hit **SAVE** for immediate effect after the app has synced.
